By Ted Grussing… now that the issues with Mariah have all been pretty much resolved it is nice to slip back into the comfort zone where everything works the way it supposed to and the focus is not will it fly and instrumentation work, but enjoying the ride and being confident enough in it to return to cruising the mountain slopes and going back out over tiger country knowing that the return is not an issue.

By Ted Grussing… what a bunch of fun emails I got this morning and among them was one from friends who write as follows: “NOW, as far as the HORMEL corned beef hash goes——don’t ever put it on top of a green salad, yuk.  Fix it in your frying pan and top it with a couple of fried or poached eggs.  Mary Kitchen Roast Beef Hash is even better, don’t be afraid to try it, but, do NOT put green salad on top.Remember HORMEL hash and spam have paid our retirement for many years.”

Sedona AZ (November 11, 2015) – The Giving Angels has started collecting donations to give more than 600 seniors holiday gifts with the generous help of donors from Sedona, Cottonwood and the Verde Valley. The charity provides gifts to independent, low-income seniors in the Verde Valley.

By Ted Grussing… I talked with my daughter Jogi last night (I wanted Gigi, Cork wanted Joleen … Joleen it was and we chose the nickname Jogi for her … a compromise that worked) and in the course of our conversation she asked what I had for dinner and I replied a really crappy dinner. She asked what I had and I told her a can of Hormel Corn Beef Hash on top of a bed of Romaine lettuce ( at least it was torn) with Blue Cheese dressing on top of the lettuce, but below the corn beef hash.…

Sedona AZ (November 10, 2015) – Community members participating in a three-month solution-seeking process to address declining enrollment in the Sedona Oak Creek Unified School District (SOCUSD) developed a three-point approach with a priority on researching a possible restructuring or reorganization to create a more cost-effective and efficient curricular model to maintain quality education and achieve necessary cost savings.

By Ted Grussing… is underway and after soon I need some rest so I can resume the day by 7AM; I’m starting to move from 3 to 4 hours a night to 5 and it feels good. Should probably quit having a couple of shots of espresso when I wake up around 5 though … oh well, only have to answer to myself and I say it is good!

Sedona AZ (November 9, 2015) – On November 21st, from 9am to 4pm, Sedona mask maker and performance artist Pash Galbavy will offer a free mask making workshop at the Sedona Posse Grounds HUB (formerly the Teen Center), where participants will make masks of their faces that represent their vision of the Climate Care needed to address climate change.
