Jerome AZ (January 27, 2016) – Gallery 527 in Jerome features three new pieces by jewelry artist Marian Ward. Marian explains the process, “The silver is fine silver metal clay – formed, fired and polished first. Then I added encaustic wax medium to each pendant. In the colorful, abstract ones, I added 24k gold leaf and a piece of found, rusted metal. In the black and white one, I painted the bamboo using oil paints. In all three sets, the wax was then covered with a clear protective coat of resin.”

Have a top Rotax specialist coming in the morning to begin the process of finishing the work on my engine and other items to get me back chasing the beauty seen only from above. In the interim I can visualize the view that this heron and other birds have as they ply the gaseous oceans of the sky. It is good!

Sedona AZ (January 26, 2016) – The City of Sedona Engineering Services has recently installed signs informing motorists of the City’s ordinance which prohibits the use of hand held cell phone use while driving. The city code was approved by the Sedona City Council and became effective August 22, 2014. Sedona AZ (January 26, 2016) – The Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition (SVAC) is offering two scholarship grants in the amount of $500 each, to graduating seniors from Sedona Red Rock High School (SRRHS) and/or Mingus Union High School (MUHS) this spring. Applicants must have had a minimum of two semesters of high school art courses, and have plans to pursue higher education in the 2016-17 school year, anywhere in the United States, in any of the visual arts. The scholarships are available for two-year, and four-year colleges and universities as well as vocational and technical schools.
