By Ted Grussing… when I decide to spend a day working on the image I intend to send out at night. Off and on I have spent about five hours on this image and several other iterations of the same image … I currently like this one the best, but that could change tomorrow. This is from the Blue Bird shoot that Eric took me on in February, this year. The Blue Birds and other creatures were phenomenal, but the background kinda … you know, not great. I decided to take the birds to an entirely new place and ended up…

By John Roberts, Sedona Resident(June 21, 2018)The 7/20 Red Rock News editorial by Christopher Fox Graham is headlined by ” Council, don’t listen to squeaky wheel NIMBYs “. Sounds good doesn’t it and it strikes home into the willing skeptics among us. But as a good solution to our traffic problems it is just about a zero. Graham has little education in highway/road/street design as far as I know so as an expert in the field that’s a gigantic and questionable assumption. As editor of one of our news media he does have license to voice his opinion just as…

By Ted Grussing… sometimes a combination of music and beautiful scenery sweeps you into new dimensions and an inner glow brings a smile, eyes close and you are along for the ride … perhaps among the stars or as tonight along the beauty of Sycamore Canyon, the Colorado Plateau and the San Francisco Volcanic field … a mixture of sharp detail and painterly effects and a sense that all is well within your soul … it is good to be alive and to experience and share the beauty of life.

By Dr. Marta Adelsman Life Coach in Communication and Consciousness www.DrMartaCoach.com (June 20, 2018)When we give to others, we may sometimes feel people to whom we give take advantage of our unselfishness.  We slip from feeling good about our giving to feeling like victims of our generosity.  Sometimes we allow doing-for-others to disrupt what we want to do for ourselves.  When we perceive others have begun to take us for granted, we move from compassion to victim-hood.  Resentment creeps in.  Then we feel guilty about feeling resentful.

By Ted Grussing… a few days ago, One and I were out exploring the “wilderness” between our home on the 11th tee box and the 10th green … roughly a hundred yards of grass and wild country … at least for One. I spotted this Cottontail rabbit flattened in the grass trying to avoid detection and I let it be rather than jumping it. It was hot and the grass was cool … should have joined him.

By Ted Grussing… I was perusing some shoots I did a few years ago in Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. I found this hollowed out Birch tree stump … another entrance to other portions of the universe was discovered … at least in my mind. If I had a little more time I was going to add One, peering down into the abyss … but since I started after midnight tonight there was no way that was going to happen. Anyhow, hope you enjoy it.
