Monday, March 9th – Sunday, March 15th Sedona AZ (February 27, 2015) – The Sedona Art Museum is proud to present: “Max Ernst and Dorothea Tanning: When Surrealism Met The Red Rocks”, a multi-art collaboration running March 9-15, 2015. Flagstaff AZ (February 25, 2015) – Using one of the Department’s Bell 407 helicopters named Ranger 42, a DPS Air Rescue crew stationed in Flagstaff, worked for more than nine hours February 24th to extract 20 stranded Northern Arizona University (NAU) students and staff to safety from the snow-packed Kanab Creek in the North Rim area.

Cottonwood AZ (February 24, 2015) – UPDATE – On February 23,2015, the State dismissed the charges against the three juveniles from Mingus Union High School accused of committing kidnapping and sexual assault on January 31, 2015. They have been released from custody. The investigation by the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is ongoing and additional information is expected. A final charging decision will be made by the County Attorney’s Office when all information is received. The County Attorney would like to remind the public that these individuals remain innocent until proven guilty in court.
By Ted Grussing … to skiing the slopes is this (might even be better) … flying the ridge below the top and staying in that beautiful unseen flow of orographic lift coming up the slopes bent from horizontal by the mountain and rising as you go along the mountain.
