Verde Valley AZ (April 25, 2014) – As of January 2014, the Verde Watershed Association (VWA) became history but only in name. Its mission lives on within the Verde River Basin Partnership (Partnership), the organization with which the VWA merged. The Verde Watershed Association has had a long and proud history. It was organized more than twenty years ago in 1993 to help bring people together within the watershed to learn about the watershed and its resources and to work toward achieving common goals.

Cottonwood AZ (April 23, 2014) – Did you know that the State of Hawaii has TWO official languages – Hawaiian and English? The Hawaiian language is alive and well! Come learn how to speak it correctly! Kumu Hula (Hula Master) Kehau Chrisman from Hawaii is announcing the start of a “Beginner Hawaiian Language class” for students 15 and older. Students will learn Hawaiian pronunciation, simple sentence structure, and vocabulary, along with a little Hawaiian culture and history.
