SEDONA, AZ. – The city of Sedona is having an open house to give updates on projects for city-owned buildings. The event includes electric car chargers and solar panels that support the city in its efforts to meet its goals to become carbon neutral – meaning it will save as much carbon as it uses.
The open house includes updates from Alternative Energy Systems Consulting, the contractor for the design and engineering phases of projects identified in a municipal decarbonization roadmap established in the Municipal Sustainability Plan. Attendees will be given project summaries and opportunities to give feedback to the planning and design team. Public input on city projects ensures the projects align with community interests and needs.
    Open House Details
    Monday, Sept. 28, 3 – 5 p.m.
    Keep Sedona Beautiful’s EcoHub
360 Brewer Rd.In Nov. 2023, the city created a decarbonization roadmap for municipal operations to advance greenhouse gas emissions reductions goals found in the Climate Action Plan and Municipal Sustainability Plan. Projects in the roadmap were to be completed in about a 5-year period.
This planning and design phase represents the critical next step in moving the roadmap from conceptual recommendations to implementation-ready projects. Without this engineering work, the city cannot competitively pursue future grants, refine cost estimates or begin construction on identified decarbonization improvements.
The planning and design project is funded by an Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant through the Arizona Governor’s Office of Resiliency.
For more details on the open house, contact the city’s Sustainability Department at sustainability@sedonaaz.gov or (928) 203-5127.

Sedona taxpayers are paying for this City of Sedona hoax!!! The City will claim that it is visitors through the sales tax and bed tax, but Sedona citizens are paying for this, too, through higher than necessary sales taxes. The City of Sedona has cash coming out its ears, and wastes, wastes, wastes!!!

The City is now a bi partisan organization as of the last election so who’s to blame here exactly? Can’t blame Liberals without blaming Conservatives.

Says the buffoon choking on wildfire smoke as his home is washed away by flooding. The earth is not flat, climate change is real and we did go to the moon and walk upon its surface and Chem Trails are not being used by commercial airline exhaust because it is physically impossible for them to do so. Don’t be mad at those trying to clean up after the brain-dead

I was stationed at Ft Bragg (The real one) in the early 90’s and would visit family in Chapel Hill NC whenever I had some time off from work and training. They were in a drought and Lake Jordan was at it’s lowest levels in history. Chapel Hill’s city government along with Orange County decided to invest in rainwater reclamation systems. Here is a clip about what they have determined to be the result of investment into the systems-

Rain barrels are ok for private home use but not commercially. With the amount of rain we tend to get whenever it does rain it would be foolish not to at least consider citywide rainwater diversion reclamation and storage systems especially considering how vulnerable Oak Creek is to pollutants. Grey water systems could and should be mandated for use at commercial facilities that consume large quantities of water on a daily basis such as hotels, motels, laundromats, car washes and restaurants.

I can hear the hysterical screams of the conspiracy theorists already screaming about spending while at the same time claiming the City has too much money-Ridiculousness!
