Verde Valley AZ (April 30, 2014) – RIMROCK – Vandalism – On April 23, 2014, YCSO deputies were called to the 4300 block of Cliffside Trail, Rimrock, regarding a vandalism complaint. A property management company representative told deputies that suspect(s) unknown forcibly entered the unoccupied home damaging every wall and surface in every room with heavy paint splatter. Inside the house, deputies found indication of marijuana use along with a few handbags, blankets, and liquor. Sedona AZ (April 29, 2014) – During May, Pop Up Sedona Gallery features two fine artists who work in two very different three dimensional mediums.  Luke Metz works in ceramics and Richard Barnwell works in metal arts. Both of these artists will be present during the Pop Up’s First Friday’s reception (May 2, 5-8 PM) to show their work and chat with visitors and fans. Sedona AZ (April 29, 2014) – The Sedona Fire District (SFD) and the U.S. Forest Service are joining together to offer Sedona area residents an opportunity to dispose of their yard waste and combustible vegetation. SFD Fire Station #4, located at 391 Forest Road in Uptown Sedona, will be accepting yard waste Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 16th, 17th  and 18th, 2014 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Participation is open to all Sedona Fire District residents.

Cornville AZ (April 29, 2014) – Harry’s Hideaway Restaurant in Cornville is going to give away a Whole Roasted Chicken dinner to the first 100 veterans or current members of the Armed Forces that show up at 11:30am on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 17th when they open for lunch. Because they are such a small restaurant, they will run out! But they will pass out vouchers to those that don’t get a Chicken Dinner on this day. Verde Valley AZ (April 29, 2014) – On April 22 and 23, 2014, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office joined with several other agencies to combat Human Trafficking in Yavapai County. YCSO along with Prescott PD, Prescott Valley PD, Cottonwood PD, Department of Public Safety, Department of Homeland Security/ICE, GITEM, Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT) and Tempe PD, conducted an operation to target the buyers of child prostitutes. Cottonwood AZ (April 26, 2014) – Join the Cottonwood Community Band as it makes a Musical Tour of America with music about America and Americans when it presents its spring concert in Sedona and Cottonwood. The Sedona concert is May 4th 3 PM at the Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, 390 Dry Creek Road in Sedona. The band will repeat the concert on May 11th at 3 PM at the Mingus Union High School Auditorium 1801 E Fir St. in Cottonwood. Both concerts are free and open to the public.

Camp Verde AZ (April 26, 2014) – The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce a brand new video visitation system now available at the Camp Verde Detention Center. The system will officially be on-line beginning this coming Monday, April 28, 2014, and will eventually replace the former face-to-face (through glass) method of inmate visitation. Video visitation will greatly increase opportunities inmates have to visit family and friends while decreasing the amount of inmate movement in the jail necessary for face-to-face visitation.
