Sedona AZ (May 12, 2014) – The Democrats of the Red Rocks (DORR) free movie for May is “Gasland Part II,” an explosive follow-up to Josh Fox’s Oscar-nominated “Gasland.” In his new film, Fox shows how the stakes have been raised on all sides in one of the most important environmental issues facing our nation today. The film argues that the gas industry’s portrayal of natural gas as a clean and safe fuel is a myth, and that fracked wells inevitably leak over time, contaminating water and air, hurting families, and endangering Earth’s climate.

Co-sponsored by the Sierra Club, the film will be shown at the Sedona Public Library on May 29, 6 to 8 pm. Admission is free and open to all.

    No Home Rule

Home Rule allows the city government, Staff with limitations, and Council to spend any money they have on any project they want without regard to voter input.
