By Ted Grussing … you are looking at a somewhat agitated Rufous Hummingbird beginning enforcement action against a horde of invading bees. The bees tend to block the holes in the feeders and these little guys clear them out … they are in charge … for a few minutes and then it all begins again. I had to get away from the area as the bees were pretty aggressive … I did get quite a few nice shots though. Thanks to Terry for getting me straightened out on the spelling of these beautiful creatures … Rufous, not Rufus … smiles.
