Sedona AZ (September 23, 2015) – A massive haul of human-“left overs” came out of Oak Creek, once again, thanks to the Oak Creek Ambassador Program.  This summer, six dedicated young people called the Oak Creek Ambassadors removed over 4973 lbs. of trash from recreation areas all along beloved Oak Creek. The Ambassadors hauled out 478 lbs. of human waste from undesignated toilets and a startling total of 268 diapers.  Yet, their work didn’t end at the bottom of a trash bag – they also managed to speak with over 8,200 visitors on easy methods to keep Oak Creek clean and healthy, totaling over 4,000…

By Ted Grussing… hope … in the magnificent metropolis of Ripley, California on the way to Cibola National Wildlife Refuge … One decided to take refuge and would go no further, but allowed me to pick her up on the way back to the interstate. The promise of a beautiful wildlife refuge along the banks of the Colorado River were dashed when miles beyond  the river I arrived at the refuge and it looked decidedly less appealing than this sight. The nearest water was flowing in the Colorado River miles behind me.

A wide variety of one-of-a-kind fiber art creations will be offered in the sale beginning October 1 through October 4 in the Special Exhibition Gallery at the Sedona Arts Center, 15 Art Barn Road in Uptown Sedona, Arizona.
