… well, almost all. I took this shot this morning on a test flight of Mariah and she is about as well as the photo is inclusive of the populated portion of the Sedona and Village of Oak Creek. I live in the Village which is the area in the foreground lower right … you can see all three golf courses in the Village; Oak Creek Country Club with the prettier dark green fairways (where I live), below it the Sedona Golf Resort and to the right of SR 179 the small executive course. You can kind of make out Seven Canyons Golf Course to the left of the airport and the other side of Thunder Mountain.

The foreground mountains from right to left are Lees Mountain, Courthouse Butte, Bell Rock and Castle Rock (adjoins our golf course) and traveling up and left you have Cathedral Rock and above it the airport. To the right of Cathedral Rock is the Chapel area and above and to the right of it is Uptown and the beginning of Oak Creek Canyon which goes up and left. West Sedona is pretty much on the left side of the airport and along the creek (winding dark green area below the airport going down and left) is the Loop Road area and Sedona Shadows is on the very left edge of the photo. On the horizon from the left is Sitgreaves Mountain, Kendrick Peak, San Francisco Peaks, Mt. Elden and on the far right Mormon Mountain …  volcanoes, one and all … even Mt. Wilson which is above right of the N end of the airport … I like this place!

We’re into a new week … enjoy each day as it comes around and may they be filled with joy and delight at the grand discovery of waking in the morning and find you are still breathing :+)

Incredibly far behind in answering emails … sorry!

    Cheers and share your joy.

So each one to his wish, and as for me,
    I sit tonight and wait
To find the answers to my soul in me,
And in the beauty of the sky and sea.

    Understanding Sedona’s Home Rule Vote

If you recently moved to Sedona, you may notice that every four years, residents vote on something called Home Rule. The July 21 vote is simply about who controls Sedona’s city budget.
