Sedona AZ (August 31, 2017) – September 10-16 is National Suicide Prevention Week and The Mental Health Coalition Verde Valley is partnering with Spectrum Healthcare Group to host a panel of community members who have attempted suicide and are willing to share their stories so people can better understand this trauma which is the 8th leading cause of death in Arizona. Cottonwood AZ (August 31, 2017) – After the arson and burglary in May of 2013 at a home in the 1900 block of South Deserama Circle, Cottonwood, an investigation was initiated until leads were exhausted. In July of this year, a YCSO detective received tips regarding the involvement of certain suspects in this incident. Sedona AZ (August 31, 2017) – The Parks and Recreation and Public Works departments have set the start of construction for long-awaited improvements to the Sedona Dog Park.Work will begin, and the park will be closed, beginning Sept. 11. Construction is scheduled to last approximately 60 days and the park is scheduled to reopen to the public on Nov. 11. Closing the park is necessary to ensure the safety of pets and people. Construction will also affect a small portion of the Sunrise Trail near the southern end of the park, and trail traffic will be rerouted to ensure hiker safety.
