Cornville AZ (November 10, 2020) – On Tuesday November 10, 2020 at approximately 5:00 AM, the Verde Valley Fire District responded to the report of a Residential assignment in the area of Austin Circle in Cornville.VVFD was dispatched to the report of a residential fire. When crews arrived on the scene the found a motorhome that was fully involved. The fire was extinguished with the use of hose lines and power tools. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Prescott AZ (November 10, 2020) – On November 3, 2020, voters in Arizona approved Proposition 207, an initiative that decriminalized personal possession and use of marijuana in an amount less than one ounce and limits personal cultivation of marijuana by a person age twenty-one (21) and older. The effective date of Proposition 207 will be in approximately 30 days. Cottonwood AZ (November 6, 2020) – On October 28, 2020, around 1:15 PM, a YCSO deputy stopped a silver passenger car for a moving violation near the intersection of Ash Street and 12th Street, Cottonwood. During a conversation with the driver, 24-year-old Nathaniel Wolf from Cottonwood, Wolf’s behavior led the deputy to believe Wolf was concerned about contraband, possibly narcotics, being found in the vehicle. (KCS) and the city of Sedona have mutually agreed, based on numerous unforeseen challenges with other utilities and obstacles that have significantly slowed the pace of construction, to end the State Route (SR) 179 Sewer Main Replacement Project with the last phase still yet to be completed.
