Sedona AZ (June 2, 2015) – On May 28, 2015, YCSO deputies were dispatched to an overturned vehicle on Beaverhead Flat Road near the Village of Oak Creek. The vehicle, a 2011 silver Hyundai Sedan, was being driven east on Beaverhead Flat Road by a 16-year-old male and contained 3 passengers – a 16-year-old front seat passenger and 2 male back seat passengers ages 16 and 17. Sedona AZ (May 29, 2015) – The City of Sedona will soon begin major pavement repair work on SR 89A in Uptown Sedona. The road is in failing condition due to in part to the 25,000 vehicles that travel the road each day, based on a yearly average. The repair work will not just address the surface of the road but will also rebuild portions of the subgrade, thereby improving smooth, safe travel and reducing the need for future disturbances to perform repairs.
