Sedona AZ (January 17, 2012) – The Sorvino family – Paul, Mira, Michael and Amanda – give new meaning to the term “family film.” True to their reputation as a tight-knit unit, the entire family is coming to the 18th annual Sedona International Film Festival for the screening of The Trouble with Cali, a film written by Amanda, directed by and starring Paul, featuring Michael and with a large cameo appearance by Mira. The film, which will be among 145 selected for the Festival, will be screened several times from Feb. 18-26 at venues throughout the northern Arizona community.
Sedona AZ (January 17, 2012) – The Sedona Heritage Museum has recently released a new video/DVD that invites the viewer to tour the colorful history of Greater Sedona. Entitled “Oak Creek Legacy – The Story of Sedona”, it was written, produced and directed by volunteer Jim Eaton for the Sedona Heritage Museum. It runs about one hour and depicts the major facets of our unique community – the geology that formed our red rocks, the Native Americans, the pioneer times, lives of the cowboys, the orchard industry, the Golden Age of Sedona film-making, the visual and performing arts, and tourism.

Sedona AZ (January 13, 2012) – A portion of the Bell Rock Pathway Trail will be receiving reconstruction beginning Monday, January 23 through Thursday 26. This reconstruction work will allow Forest Service personnel and the Coconino Rural Environment Corps (CREC) crew to provide necessary trail improvements; installing water diversion structures, reducing soil erosion and to enhance the trail surface for continued public enjoyment.

The panel will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel, 1600 S. 52nd St. The agenda includes discussion and possible action regarding technical changes to the congressional- and legislative-district maps. Peter Fagan made the presentation at the Sedona Public Library during YVBH’s weekly afterschool Poetry Club meeting.
