Sedona Korean American Association Hosts the 2nd Annual ‘Lunar New Year Festival’ to share culture and festivities of the New Year

Sedona AZ (January 13, 2012) – The Lunar New Year presents a special opportunity for new beginnings. Considering it is the most important holiday in South Korea, as it is for roughly 1.7 billion people throughout China, Japan, Mongolia, Tibet, and Vietnam, this year’s celebration is sure to bring a unique and refreshing energy to Sedona. The festival celebrating the New Year traditionally begins on the first day of the first month in the Chinese calendar and ends with a Lantern Festival which is on the 15th day.

The Sedona Korean-American Association (SKAA) is excited to bring a taste of this celebrated Asian holiday to Sedona for the second time. On January 28th, the Association is proud to host the ‘Lunar New Year Festival’, open to all Sedona residents.
