The overall project is to reconstruct some of the roadway system which serves us. Both the Chamber of Commerce and the Red Rock News favor it. Some residents back it too . But a strong number in town strongly oppose this $30 million 10 year program. That’s why I became interested in learning more.

Williams AZ (July 12, 2018) – An elk calf, appropriately named Lucky, was rescued by Bearizona after her pregnant mother was hit by a vehicle on I-40 June 10. A month later, the one-month-old calf is almost fully recovered from a dramatic entry into the world and is on display in her new home at the wildlife park near the Grand Canyon. Lucky is the twelfth wild animal rescued this year by the popular drive- and walk-through park devoted to providing homes to wild animals in need.

Sedona AZ (July 11, 2018) – The Sedona Fire District (SFD) lifts the stage III fire restrictions for all portions of the fire district. This will take effect July 11, 2018 at 8:00 am.Recent rains along with higher humidity, increased fuel moistures and the forecast for continuing monsoon activity have lowered, but not eliminated fire danger in the fire district.
