… words from the Max Ehrmann quote tonight, but which aptly describe the beauty of this shot from March 20, 2015 taken at 6:41P, 4 minutes after sunset … the sky still light above the clouds as Sedona was slipping into darkness. I had been up north shooting the peaks in last light and coming back into the Sedona area. The rock formations on the left comprise part of Mt. Wilson and separate Long Canyon and Oak Creek Canyon. Sedona Airport is kinda of a whitish line near center about a third in from the right and a storm cell near Payson was providing the spectacular cloud formations. The original image I did of this was straight photo processing workflow, this time played with it a bit and like it better and hope you do too. The image is available in large scale prints in 16 by 9 ratio. If you have an interest let me know and it will have the border effects dropped.

Today was an exceptional day and hope yours was too. This closes out the week for me and perhaps I can catch up on answering a large volume of emails … back up to 175 … I try, I really do.
Back on Monday and hope you have a beautiful day and weekend … look for beauty and you will find it. We’re traveling through space on this incredible spaceship we call Earth and currently it is the only known place we can sustain life … just think about it, look at images of earth from space and it looks like kind of a small place … we’re all here with no place to go and no idea where we really are or where we are going … fantastic! What a thought to start a day with … after you do the first important thing … keep breathing … makes for such a good day … and ditch the smart phone, laptop, and tablets whilst enjoying a morning cup of coffee.
Cheers
Ted
But from the brooding beauty of the night, and daily dancing shafts of golden sun …
The mystery and wonder of the world … that play the soundless music of the soul
And fill the heart with memory’s olden dreams … From these will come at last your faith in God.
