By Ted Grussing… I like squirrels and I enjoy squirrel humor like the cartoon the squirrel sitting on its haunches telling the owner of the house that the bird feeder is empty and would he be so kind as to fill it again. Anyhow I took this shot of a little guy in a tree behind our home a few days ago when One and I were out enjoying the late afternoon, sitting on the grass … very cooling when the temps are still in the 90’s.

By Cheryl L. YeattsManager of Sedona Public Library in the VillageSedona AZ (August 3, 2018) -I was introduced to libraries around the age of three. Almost every Saturday, my dad would take me to the old Victorian house that served as our community library. We would browse the shelves in the children’s room. He would help me choose picture books; then, we would cuddle up in the bay window to share books. My dad would patiently turn pages as I stumbled over words and often made up my own stories to go with the pictures.

By Ted Grussing… end of day on the Colorado Plateau on January 8th , 2017 … I took this shot on a very high wind day about 20 minutes before sunset and the conditions were phenomenal by anyone’s standards. Surface winds in Sedona were not bad, but up on the plateau the winds were howling. You can see the clouds forming and being ripped on the San Francisco Peaks and the Standing Lenticular Cloud downwind of the peaks. The lennie wasn’t exceptionally high, perhaps 25,000’, but the wave in front of it would have been a trip to ride … due…
