They were perched on top of a low rock island, well off shore and in the background are the mountains on the west shore of the lake, miles away. Verde Valley News – On March 7th at 07:39 Verde Valley Fire (VVFD) was dispatched to a structure on fire at the 1600 block of Beecher St. in Clarkdale. Crews from Verde Valley Fire District and Cottonwood Fire and Medical arrived on scene to find a single-family residence with fire and smoke coming out of the front door and windows of the house.
