Cottonwood AZ (April 17, 2018) – The First Cottonwood Earth Day March and Rally will take place on Sunday, April 22, starting at 10 am.  The March will start at Riverfront Park and end at a Rally at the Verde Valley Montessori School on N. Main St. The march and rally are sponsored by the Northern Arizona Climate Change Alliance.  This event is open to the public and people are encouraged to bring signs on preserving and protecting Planet Earth.

Cottonwood AZ (April 16, 2018) – April 16 at approximately 9:50 am the Verde Valley Fire District responded to Thousand Trails and Forest Service 147A for a report of a camper on fire.  Crews arrived on scene to discover the mid-size camper 50% engulfed and threatening surrounding wildland. Additional information provided indicated two propane tank were in the camper.

Cornville AZ (April 14, 2018) – On April 12, 2018, at 4:15 PM, YCSO deputies were dispatched to a multiple vehicle collision on Cornville Road near mile marker 7, Cornville. Deputies arrived to see extensive traffic back-up and fire personnel already on scene treating the injured. 3 vehicles were involved and 2 of those were badly damaged.
