Sedona AZ (October 20, 2020) – The Sedona Historical Society (SHS) and Sedona Heritage Museum recently received a grant from the Arizona Historical Society to catalog a portion of almost 10,000 historic photos that are scanned and stored, but need to be cataloged for easy search and access. This is a Clark’s Grebe; similar in size and appearance to the Western Grebe and they are found together in the same flocks. Phoenix AZ (October 19, 2020) – The Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits has joined more than 160 organizations across the nation in signing a private sector letter to President Donald Trump requesting that he withdraw his Executive Order that effectively bans equity and diversity training.The letter to the President said that his “Executive Order on Combatting Race and Sex Stereotypes,”  “as currently written … will create confusion and uncertainty, lead to non-meritorious investigations, and hinder the ability of employers to implement critical programs to promote diversity and combat discrimination in the workplace.”

Camp Verde AZ (October 15, 2020) – On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, the Honorable Michael Bluff of the Yavapai County Superior Court sentenced Jesse Michael Etienne, 21, of Camp Verde, Arizona, to the Arizona State Prison for 16 years.  Etienne was found guilty of Second Degree Murder by a Yavapai County Jury on January 31, 2020 and pled “no contest” to the charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both class six felonies, prior to the trial commencing.
