Buckle Up Arizona…It’s the Law! Enforcement CampaignArizona Occupant Protection Enforcement Program Verde Valley AZ (May 17, 2013) – In an effort to save more lives on Arizona’s roadways this month the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety is partnering with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement agencies to enforce Arizona’s seat belt and child safety seat laws. Although Arizona has a secondary seat belt law, the enforcement campaign is based upon high visibility traffic enforcement with a “zero-tolerance” approach towards seat belt and child safety seat usage.

Sedona AZ (May 15, 2013) – On Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at approximately 3:30 pm Sedona Fire District (SFD) emergency crews responded to a reported brush fire near the 100 block of Pinto Lane in the Village of Oak Creek. During the initial response SFD crews reported smoke visible from this area. Arriving on scene crews quickly contained the fire to an area approximately 100 by 100 feet.
