Verde Valley AZ (May 1, 2015) – MATFORCE announces Ava Byrnes, a 7-year old student from Coyote Springs Elementary School in Prescott Valley, and Danil Pelmenev, a 17-year old student from Red Rock High School in Sedona, are the grand prize winners of the MATFORCE 2015 Youth Poster Contest. Both winners will receive a $250 cash award. MATFORCE’s poster contest is an annual event held to raise awareness about the risks of drug and alcohol abuse. Each winning poster will be featured on MATFORCE substance abuse prevention materials, including; a poster, website and in prevention workbooks for schools.

Each one has its unique assortment and arrangement of shapes and colors, with a surprise around every corner. My favorite trail is a blanket of white; it’s covered with blackfoot daisies as far as the eye can see, interspersed with magenta cactus flowers, pale lavender mariposa lilies, and flowers in various shades of yellow.

Most of the day was spent going through the portfolio and deletions and cataloging. A short break in the day to visit Dennis at the Village Barber midafternoon and then after looking out his window at the clouds up on the plateau I knew I had to join them so it was home, put some food out for One and the birds and thence to the airport.
