Sedona AZ (November 27, 2012) – The Sedona Heritage Museum is hosting their annual “Christmas in the Park” FREE open house on Saturday, December 8 from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The event extends free admission to the museum and a day filled with special free activities as a holiday gift to residents and visitors. Cornville AZ (November 26, 2012) – On November 20, 2012, at approximately 12:15 PM, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported trespassing incident at a Native American archeological site. The site is located near the intersection of Sugarloaf Road and Loy Road in Cornville and owned by a conservancy. Deputies spoke with the State Parks Site Steward who reported that unknown persons had trespassed onto the site and damaged some of the dig area. The land surrounding the site is fenced and gated and marked NO TRESPASSING, although there is an open trail into the site.

Flagstaff AZ (November 21, 2012) – A human-caused forest fire began about noon yesterday in Kendrick Park off of Highway 180 north of Flagstaff and spread to 47 acres before firefighters contained the fire last night. The Buffalo Fire started from an individual dumping hot ashes from a woodstove in the forest, and the dry conditions coupled with wind help spread the fire quickly.
