Sedona AZ (July 26, 2019) – The city of Sedona has posted an audit of the Development Impact fee program for the fiscal years 2017 and 2018.The biennial audit is required under Arizona Revised Statute §9-463.05. The purpose of the review was to determine whether the city utilizes funds collected through its Police, Roadway, Storm Drainage, General Government and Parks and Recreation development impact fee program for the funding of public improvements as outlined in the city’s Development Impact Fee Ordinance 2014-09.

Rimrock AZ (July 25, 2019) – On July 24, 2019, 38-year-old James Nicholson from Rimrock threatened and falsely reported a bomb device to several individuals in the 3200 block of E Beaver Creek Road, Rimrock. Deputies learned that Nicholson arrived early in the morning, around 5 AM, at the Dollar Store on Beaver Creek Road and told an employee, “Don’t go around the back of the building, there is a bomb.” The employee was concerned about Nicholson’s suspicious behavior and comment and reported the actions to other employees at the time. This is a shot I took of the Museum fire this morning; they have a TFR (temporary flight restriction) over the fire from ground to 13,000’ due to the many aircraft, and helicopters they have in to fight the blaze. I took this shot from 14,865’ which was well above the restricted airspace. Currently the fire is around 1,000 acres and is about 10% contained.
