Cottonwood AZ (July 18, 2019 – Yavapai County Law Enforcement needs your help in locating Ciara Treann Merchant-Feist.  After her release from the Arizona Department of Corrections, Merchant-Feist absconded from parole and has a no bond full extradition warrant as a result. She is also facing additional charges for theft, forgery and fraud schemes from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.  Merchant-Feist is believed to be in the Cottonwood/Verde Valley areas.  She will often use false names when contacted by law enforcement.

Sedona AZ (July 17, 2019) – The city of Sedona has launched the online tool Wikimapping to collect ideas for walking and biking improvements. The tool features a map of Sedona in which you can draw routes you’d like to have built or would like improved; mark favorites, suggest “great” locations; and mark locations you feel are problematic. Once you mark your routes, you can add comments, or agree or disagree with others’ input. In July of this year, YCSO detectives began investigating the theft of $30,000 from an 84-year-old woman victimized by a scam. Dedicated Volunteers conduct Focused EffortSedona AZ (July 16, 2019) – On July 10, 2019, just before 2 pm, a 50-year-old woman from California called the Sheriff’s Office and stated she had hiked off trail with her dog to a high mountain top in Boyton Canyon, Sedona. She reported not being able to find her way back and as a result, a YCSO Forest Patrol deputy coordinated a rescue with 8 volunteers from the Verde Search and Rescue Team (VSAR).

Cottonwood AZ (July 16, 2019) – UPDATE – Smokey Bear will be celebrating his 75th birthday on August 10.  As part of his birthday celebration, a quilt has been created by award winning quilter Eunice Hill.  The quilt is now on display at the Quilter’s Quarters in Cottonwood, located at 51 W. Prescott Valley AZ (July 16, 2019) – Today the Prescott Valley Police Department is requesting your assistance in locating Carlos Maya Pimentel.  Pimentel is wanted for Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Kidnapping and endangerment. On April 6, 2007 Pimentel entered a residence in Prescott Valley with the intent to commit a theft.  Upon entry, Pimentel assaulted three victims with a machete and baseball bat.  The victims were kept from leaving the scene throughout the course of the crime.  Pimentel’s warrant has a bond of $100, 000 with nationwide extradition.
