County Supervisors’ hearing on Spring Creek Ranch has been rescheduled for March 18By Craig SwansonTrustee, Keep Sedona BeautifulSedona AZ (January 6, 2020) – Yavapai County Planning and Zoning narrowly voted 5-4 to recommend against the Spring Creek Ranch mega-development, but the final determination is up to the County Supervisors.At the Planning and Zoning hearing, much was made of the fact that only 15 residents wrote in to the County supporting the proposal, while 245 wrote letters or email opposing it. In response, the developer stated that they will be marshaling more support prior to the Supervisors meeting.

Prescott AZ (January 6, 2020) – UPDATE: Fugitive Daniel Edward Calkins has been arrested.  The reward is no longer offered.On December 31st, 2019 , Daniel Edward Calkins was arrested by Phoenix Police Department.  The reward is no longer available. Prescott AZ (January 5, 2020) – It’s day 5 of Yavapai Silent Witness’ Catch 22 Program.  Today the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating 29-year-old Damarius Antwone Williams. On October 24, 2016 the vehicle Williams was driving was pulled over for a traffic infraction by a Yavapai County Sheriff’s K-9 Deputy on eastbound Interstate 40 at milepost 137 in Ashfork Arizona.  The deputy observed 3 additional occupants in the vehicle. The deputy also observed several indicators of criminal activity to include the behavior of the occupants, their answers to questions and an overwhelming odor of marijuana.

Prescott AZ (January 3, 2020) – It’s day 3 of Yavapai Silent Witnesses Catch 22 program.  Today the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in finding Sasha Rachel Smith.  Smith is wanted on a probation Violation Warrant stemming from Felony Criminal Impersonation, and multiple DUI charges.On March 8th, 2015, Smith was pulled over by a Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputy for unsafe driving.  Upon being contacted, Smith provided a driver’s license of another person as if it was his own.  Smith was arrested for Aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol level of over .20.
