Here we go.If I were Bernie Sanders the first thing I would do is commission a 24-hour round-the-clock hairdresser to keep my hair in place so I don’t look like a crazy person.I would also get some Botox to take off a few years. Hiring the best tailor money can buy would also be a plus. Drop the rumpled old-man look. Especially the way the collar comes…

By Ted Grussing… three years ago this month I took this shot of a pair of widgeons taking off from one of the ponds at Page Springs … the water was in a rather churly state as the pair departed the area. Hopefully they found some peace and rest after they landed in a new pond. It takes a lot of energy for them to take to flight, so I only walk a pond with the intent to jump the ducks once. By this time of year, most of the ducks have little or no fear of humans and prefer…

By Ted Grussing… it has been a while since I have been at the ponds near sunset with the beautiful fall colors reflected into the water. This shot is from November 30, 2016 at 4:39P at Bubbling Ponds and a green head mallard is dabbling in this molten golden water … nothing done to the shot other than to crop it and slightly increase the detail/sharpness of the image. Anything more would take away from that incredible moment. Shot with my 1DX MKI and it still captures incredible images … for shots like this the MK III would offer very…
Prescott AZ (February 27, 2020) – A new Center for Biological Diversity analysis shows the city of Prescott’s proposed water policy would accelerate sprawl development and dramatically reduce the upper Verde River’s annual water flow. The city council meets Tuesday to discuss whether to supply approximately 9,500 acre-feet of water per year for use by developments in unspoiled grasslands in Yavapai County north of the city’s boundaries, where two major developers own property. The water would allow subdivisions to replace scenic open land and destroy pronghorn and grassland bird habitat. By Ted Grussing… as seen through my sometimes quirky or eccentric eyes and mind. I took this shot of a great blue heron entering flight after downing a nice fish dinner … the background was rather, well ordinary and distracting, so I’ve spent the last couple of hours utilizing different techniques on the background whilst leaving our predator friend intact. To me it has a nice feel to it and hope you enjoy it also.
