Flagstaff AZ (January 16, 2013) – Flagstaff Area National Monuments will be joining national park units around the country as they waive entrance fees on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, in recognition of his civil rights efforts. Entrance fees will be waived for all visitors to Sunset Crater Volcano, Walnut Canyon and Wupatki National Monuments on January 21, 2013. Visitors arriving in the monuments on January 21 will enter free of charge. The visitor centers will have Interagency Senior and Annual Passes available for those who wish to purchase them.

Sedona AZ (January 16, 2013) – Wilson Mountain Trail, near Midgley Bridge in Sedona, will be closed tomorrow and Friday while Century Link replaces a damaged telephone pole near the trail in Oak Creek Canyon. The damaged pole replacement is near where the telephone line crosses the trail, and due to safety concerns about the line during the pole replacement, the trail will be closed during the construction.
