Sedona AZ (July 10, 2013) – The NAU Summer Seminar Series brings its first program to Sedona on Wednesday, July 17, 6:30-8PM at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre. “Protecting Yourself from Online Cyber-Criminals: Tips and Tools” will be presented by Jane Ginn, Managing Director, SedonaCyberLink. The event is free. In years past the series has taken place on the NAU campus, but this year it is branching out to the Mary D. Fisher Theatre in Sedona, La Posada in Winslow, and the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff.

Prescott AZ (July 10, 2013) – Two sets of memorial boards dedicated to the 19 fallen Granite Mountain Hotshots are available for viewing. One set is posted at the intersection of Hwy 89 and W. Hayes Ranch Road. A second set available for the first time today from the Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial Overlook established adjacent to Hwy 89 in Yarnell. For the Yarnell overlook, a flagpole raised at the incident location will be visible in the distance.

The schedule of programs offers a lot of variety, with dogs and drama being two main themes. Prescott AZ (July 4, 2013) – Yavapai County Sheriff Scott Sheriff Mascher and his Command team, along with Clay Templin’s Yarnell Hill Fire Incident Management Team, are pleased to announce the evacuation order has been lifted for Peeples Valley at 6:30 PM today. The community of Yarnell still remains under mandatory evacuation. This order pertains to Peeples Valley RESIDENTS ONLY.
Prescott AZ (July 3, 2013) – The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has compiled a list of homes/structures in the Peeples Valley and Yarnell communities lost as a result of the Yarnell Hill Fire. The 129 addresses are based on a direct survey and represent a visual inspection of each property. The survey provided to YCSO media does delineate whether the structure(s) were specifically a home. Only 2 of the addresses are in Peeples Valley, the rest are in Yarnell.

Below is my response. I am left wondering if the ACC’s name should be changed to Arizona Corporation’s Commission since the corporations seem to own it.

Sedona AZ (July 1, 2013) – On Thursday, June 27, the City of Sedona Employee of Year award was presented to Jamie Rivero, the Police Records Technician, as part of the employee recognition event held at City Hall.
