Sedona AZ (July 24, 2015) – The City of Sedona pavement repair work on SR 89A in Uptown Sedona is progressing ahead of schedule. Major paving work was scheduled to be complete by July 31 and was completed one week ahead of schedule, on July 23. This allowed full roadway and parking access for the weekend of Sedona Main Street Program’s National Day of the Cowboy event (July 24, 25, and 26). Minor paving related work will continue, with minor traffic restrictions, and be completed by August 7.

Sedona AZ (July 23, 2015) – July 21 at approximately 4:54 the Verde Valley Fire District responded to a medical emergency on a narrow trail off Oak Creek Valley. The crews arrived and quickly realized the patient was approximately 1.5 miles off of Oak Creek Valley Road and requested additional resources including Trail Rescue 311 to assist.

Sedona AZ (July 23, 2015) – On July 20, 2015, at approximately 11:15 PM, a YCSO deputy stopped to check on a vehicle parked on the side of Highway 179, near mile marker 301, Sedona, Arizona. The blue 1993 Toyota sedan was stopped near the fog line without lights on.
