Cottonwood AZ (March 25, 2016) – Warrants are the result of work within the judicial system issued with the intent of holding persons accountable for their actions who otherwise have failed court appearances and/or mandates.  In many instances, much time and effort by law enforcement, the County Attorney, and court officials are invested in these cases which cannot be adjudicated because the subject has failed to appear. By Ted Grussing… and here is one I’ll be coming around again soon; Mariah will be airworthy again by Saturday and I plan on coming around the corner of Agassiz Peak like this again. Cloud tops were about 10,500’ and I was at about 11,500’ and Agassiz Peak on my left is 12,360’. It was a beautiful day and only a couple of days from doing it again. Yay! Clarkdale AZ (March 24, 2016) – Come join us for the 7th Annual Clarkdale Historic Building and Home Tour on April 16, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.   Clarkdale, located between Jerome and Sedona in the Verde Valley, was founded by Senator William Clark in 1912 to support his mining interests in Jerome.  Senator Clark established a company town which provided a business district, hospital, schools, park, and housing with amenities that were unheard of at that time in company towns.  Today, many of the company town buildings survive, with 386 buildings qualifying for the National Register of Historic Places.

Sedona AZ (March 23, 2016) – The Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition (SVAC) if offering volunteer opportunities to assist Local Artists participating in the Open Studios Tour Friday-Sunday, April 29, 30, and May 1, 2016.  This is an excellent opportunity for students and adults to gain the experience of talking with the artist, observing their working environments, and interacting with the public.  The Sedona Chamber of Commerce has consistently named the Open Studios Tour as one of their 10 annual Signature Events.  Volunteers will be selling raffle tickets at the event, and taking down contact information from guests who visit the studios.
