    Sedona AZ (March 25, 2016) – Ace Hardware in Sedona, is sponsoring “A Love is in the Air Adoption Event” to thank their customers for 25 years of patronage. Ace Hardware has been advocates for the Humane Society for many years and invites the Verde Valley Community to this exciting event to celebrate dual anniversaries.   There will be products for your pets to sample, pet food consultants on hand to discuss your pet’s needs, balloons, animals for adoption and just a great party for pets and their families.  See you there!

    The 5th Annual Humane Society of Sedona Auction is back by popular demand for your auction enjoyment. Grab your cowboy hat and boots and head on over to Relics for a grand old time. Step back in time enjoying the nostalgia of an old time saloon, view unique items up for bid, and being part of a great cause. This is a perfect event for the auction newcomer as well as the more experienced auction bidder. Bring your family and friends and enjoy the experience.     The Sad Lesson of Tyre Nichols

    Having grown up in the mean streets of the Bronx there is one lesson we learn early on, and that’s don’t mess with the cops when they got you down, and outnumbered. The beating of Tyre Nichols at the hands of the police preceding his death at the hospital could have been avoided if only he had the sense to not resist them. People fail to understand that on the streets, cops are basically “God.” You can’t fight them. If it takes one, two, five, ten or twenty officers they will eventually put you down and hurt you if they have to in the process of detaining or arresting you. In the Bronx we would fight amongst ourselves but when the cops came it was “Yes, officer. No, officer,” and do our best to look as innocent as possible. People need to understand that cops on the street represent the full power of the state and government. Read more→
