Rimrock AZ (August 11, 2017) – On August 4, 2017, around 11:45 PM, YCSO deputies were dispatched to the 4100 block of Aztec Road, Rimrock, regarding a subject firing rounds in his backyard. Upon arrival, deputies saw smoke coming from inside the house as popping noises were heard and requested the fire department. Her handler promoted to Detective Prescott AZ (August 10, 2017) – On August 2, 2017, K9 Miley officially retired as the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors approved the sale of Miley to Detective Eric Lopez for a buck. Miley has been with Lopez for the past 5 years as part of the 4 person K9 team focusing on narcotics interdiction in Yavapai County. Lopez was recently promoted to Detective and is assigned to the Prescott based Criminal Investigations Bureau. Flagstaff AZ (August 9, 2017) – Sedona mask maker and performance artist, Pash Galbavy, will exhibit a new mask and offer performance art as part of the Flagstaff Arts Council uranium mining education project, Hope and Trauma in a Poisoned Land. The upcoming major exhibition explores the impact of uranium mining on Navajo lands and people. Through the exhibition, participating artists created work based on the experiences and perspectives of Navajo people. Pieces were developed using the stories from Navajo communities of radiation related impacts to their bodies, lands, water, animas, and materials they used in their everyday lives.

Each organization publishes a Report Card on how our Arizona Legislators voted in their 53rd Session on issues related to the Environment, Education, Voters’ Rights and Children respectively. The panel will also address what to watch for in the 54th session which begins in January 2018.
