By Ted Grussing … when you are shooting a takeoff or landing sequence of a great blue heron, or any other winged creature for that matter, you are going to get a lot of shots that although technically excellent, just are not something you want to put out there … unless you are showing the body/wing sequential changes during that brief period of time as the bird transitions into or out of flight. The shot above is of a great blue heron that I got in a takeoff sequence at Lake Pleasant last Friday, set against a beautiful blue Arizona…

By Ted Grussing …so tonight we have the two fastest living creatures in North America showing us their stuff … the Peregrine Falcon clocked in excess of 200 mph and the Pronghorn clocked at almost 60 mph. We started with shots of Harris’s hawks perched and hunting and somewhere in the early afternoon I saw what looked like a Peregrine Falcon heading our way. By Tommy Acosta SedonaNews — Uh Oh.  What’s going on? Mysteriously, the day after Thanksgiving, we are told there is a new Covid mutation, ominously named Omicron, on the loose and on its way through Europe, Israel and beyond. We are told this variant is a vastly more virulent strain than any gone before, and that it is so contagious and insidious that vaccines may not be able to stop it. We are being given information in drips and drabs and the authorities have yet to state how lethal it is. Only that it is mega-transmissible, 500 times more so…

By Amaya Gayle Gregory You want, perhaps not consciously, your teachers, your gurus, to act enlightened, to fit your ideal of perfect, to never curse and god forbid they show their anger, their sexuality, their humanity. It’s not about them. It’s about you. If someone has achieved perfection, lives without pain and suffering, then it’s possible for you. Something inside you cringes when others share their doubt, when they acknowledge the humanity hiding behind the façade. You may even shun them, punish them for their audacity.  If you look and see only God then all your own doubts will wash…

Sorry CJ LLC for the inconvenience, but my feline deity has just taken your Cessna Citation 550 for a joy ride. I know One is okay because she is with me, but the aircraft has been de-registered so maybe the landing didn’t go so well … haven’t checked the number of lives that One has left, but she may have used another one on this flight.…
