The contest will be on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. on the parade grounds at Fort Verde State Historic Park. Come early at 10 a.m. for a ceremony honoring Fort Verde State Historic Park with the placement of a bronze plaque designating the location as the best-preserved example of an Indian Wars period fort in Arizona.
