Sedona AZ (December 2, 2016) – The Giving Angels is in desperate need for donations by December 11. Please help them fulfill their commitment to give 600 seniors holiday gift bags this season. The charity provides gifts to independent, low-income seniors in the Verde Valley.Donation boxes will be at community locations November 1st through December 11th. Donations being sought include, unscented lotion, notecards, stamps, kitchen towels, dishcloths, pot holders, game books, and large-print books. It is requested that items be new.

Noel had been found and reunited with her moms, her furry companion Bear and the additional 4 canines and 4 felines that make up their family as they are back home in Phoenix relaxing.The long desperate search for Noel that originally took place in the Dry Creek area of West Sedona on November 5, occurred when housekeeping entered the room of a hotel they had been staying at and Noel’s owner came back to find the hotel door wide open and Noel gone.

Verde Valley AZ (November 30, 2016) – On November 29, 2016, Sheriff Mascher presented Deputy Daniel McGinnis with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Life Saving Award based on his actions during an incident occurring in June. On June 24, 2016, Deputy McGinnis was dispatched to a residence in Spring Valley, Arizona, regarding a report of an overdosed person inside the home. Upon arrival, Deputy McGinnis found a 22-year-old male subject barely conscious lying on the floor. Sedona AZ (November 29, 2016) – UPDATE – During follow-up with representatives from the Arizona Public Service (APS) Electric Company, the Sheriff’s Office learned there was an official APS employee in the area of the victim’s business for legitimate business purposes. It appears the APS employee may have had an interaction with victim in this case and that victim responded by calling a phone number saved from a November 18, 2016, scam call. The victim’s call to that number on November 21, 2016, led to a money transfer supposedly to satisfy a past due APS bill.
Sedona AZ (November 29, 2016) – Family of 8 treated for carbon monoxide exposure. Sedona Fire District (SFD) units were dispatched to an emergency medical call in the 0-100 block of Andante Drive, at approximately 9:40 am, Monday, November 28, 2016. Initial units arrived on scene in less than 3 minutes and found an adult male patient complaining of nausea and lightheadedness.
