Cottonwood AZ (July 20, 2017) – On July 18, 2017, the Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking Task Force (P.A.NT.) served a search warrant in the 3300 block of E. Colorado St. in Cottonwood, AZ.Over the past few weeks, P.A.N.T. Detectives have received several tips regarding this residence and its occupants being involved in drug sales. As a result, detectives developed probable cause and obtained a search warrant for the location to investigate illegal drug use and drug sales occurring from the E. Colorado Street home.
Sedona AZ (July 20, 2017) – On Sunday July 30th, Gumption Street Arts Festival (GSAF) #2 returns – for a night and day of music, art and community. A combination of the energy behind Gumptionfest and the Sedona Street Arts Festival, the newly named GSAF (look for the new logo) is providing 6 days of free arts which began last weekend in June, and continues the last Sunday of July and August, completing the series with a special Halloween GASF on the last weekend of October.

Instead of words they use aerial bombardment laying down redlines of fire retardant where they want to stop fire and not permit it to cross that line. Sedona AZ (July 17, 2017) – The city of Sedona is currently seeking to fill two positions on the Planning and Zoning Commission as two current members’ terms will be expiring. The term of service for these vacancies is three years beginning November 1, 2017, and ending October 31, 2020, or until a successor is appointed.
Cottonwood AZ (July 15, 2017) – On July 5, 2017, around 6 AM, deputies were dispatched to a burglary call in the 2600 block of S. Union Drive, Cottonwood, regarding the theft of 8 air conditioning condenser units. Employees at Connolly Electric indicated the burglary likely occurred on July 4th, 2017, around midnight. The AC units weigh 200 pounds each and are brand new in their original box.
Cottonwood AZ (July 14, 2017) – The Verde Village Property Owners Association (VVPOA) held their monthly Board meeting last Monday and made significant changes to their leadership. Vice-President Christina Kinderman was voted in as the new President, a position that had been left open this past month due to the abrupt resignation of the previous Board President. Christina’s change in status also opened up a position for a second Unit 5 Director, which was filled by former Board member Gene Carrigan. Sedona AZ (July 14, 2017) – A nine-year veteran of the Sedona Police Department is about to step into a new role: Recruit Training Officer for northern Arizona’s next class of law enforcement professionals.Officer Mike Lucas will spend the next five months in Prescott Valley at the Northern Arizona Regional Training Academy on the Yavapai Community College campus, mentoring a squad of 10 police officer cadets as they undergo the rigorous process to become certified in law enforcement.
