Rimrock AZ (February 28, 2018) – On February 27, 2018, just before 11AM, deputies were dispatched to the 1500 block of E Solar Place in Rimrock, Arizona, regarding a man who was pinned against a wall by a backhoe. When deputies arrived, paramedics were in the process of preparing the man for transportation by ground ambulance to the Verde Valley Medical Center. Around 12:30 PM, the victim, 48-year-old Danny Ray Parsley of Camp Verde, was pronounced deceased.

Bluebirds!!!I finished the first pass through one of the blue bird folders today and deletions amounted to roughly 2400 of 3100 +/-.Tomorrow I’ll be starting through the remainder of the second folder which still has 1900+ of over 3000 in it. Expecting after this pass through it, I’ll end up with about 1500 deletions, leaving a total of about 1100 between the two folders which will have to be reduced by at least 50%. Lots of good images will and have hit the bit bucket, but so many of them are really nice, but need a little work…

Portions of Interstates 17, 40 have closed during recent stormsFlagstaff AZ (February 27, 2018) – With another snowstorm forecast Tuesday afternoon in Arizona’s high country, keep in mind that the safest option while snow falls is delaying travel until Arizona Department of Transportation snowplows have had time to clear state highways.A highway can close suddenly due to crashes and fast-accumulating snow. During recent snowstorms, northbound Interstate 17 climbing out of the Verde Valley toward Flagstaff and a steep section of eastbound Interstate 40 at Ash Fork Hill, just west of Williams, have closed temporarily as conditions deteriorated.

Sedona AZ (February 27, 2018) – Shortly after 5 pm Sunday afternoon, Sedona Fire District responded to the 1400 block of Verde Valley School Rd, for a possible structure fire. The first arriving engine noted a large volume of smoke coming from eaves and attic of a single-family dwelling with flames venting from the roof.
