Cottonwood AZ (April 2, 2018) – Verde Valley Fire District (VVFD) responded to rear end collision on April 1st at approximately 8:35 PM. The incident initially occurred on East bound Highway 260 between E. Godard Road and Del Rio Drive. The vehicle that caused the accident then entered and blocked both West bound lanes of traffic. The driver of the vehicle that instigated the accident fled the scene but was apprehended within a half a mile of the event. There were three passengers in the other involved vehicle. There was a procedural hearing last week. Cornville AZ (March 30, 2018) – At 5:30 PM on March, 28, 2018, YCSO deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle collision reported on Cornville Rd at mile marker 2.5, Cornville. It was reported a single vehicle had rolled and a single occupant was injured. Upon arrival, deputies saw a 4-door white Sedan stopped perpendicular to both lanes of travel. This part of the road features a high embankment on one side and the opposite side has a significant drop off. A witness saw the vehicle driving at least 60 mph in the posted 25 mph zone.

Sedona AZ (March 30, 2018) – Monday at the Museum will feature a class on Appalachian Folk Art Broom making on Monday April 16 from 11:00-2:00pm. Your instructor Carolyn Grebenstein, from Bearcat Studio, will teach you how to make your own cob-webber broom. Each participant leaves with the broom they make.
