Cottonwood AZ (December 2, 2020) – On Wednesday, November 25, 2020, the Honorable Debora Phelan of the Yavapai County Superior Court sentenced David Alexander Bremner, 54, of Cottonwood, to state prison for a total of 14 years flat time. Cottonwood AZ (December 2, 2020) – At approximately 5:14 p.m. yesterday, December 1, 2020, Verde Valley Fire District was dispatched to a Still Assignment / Vehicle Fire on Highway 260 just east of the day use area. Upon arrival crews found a 2,000 gallon propane truck with the cab fully engulfed in flames. Engine 311 immediately called for a second water tender and made an aggressive and quick attack on the fire.

Clarkdale AZ (December 1, 2020) – When the 2020 azcentral.com Arizona Wine Competition announced its awards this year, several wines produced by students of Yavapai College’s Southwest Wine Center were winners. The 2019 Viognier won Best in Class; Silver Medals were awarded to three wines: 2018 Hopper, 2018 Delta, and 2019 Joy; and the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018 Noble One, and 2019 Piquepoul Blanc were awarded Bronze Medals. The Arizona Republic has hosted the Arizona wine competition since 2010.
