Phoenix AZ (December 11, 2020) – On Mon Dec. 7, 2020, the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (AZ ROC) summarily suspended the KB-2 Dual Residential and Small Commercial license held by Beaumier’s Design & Remodeling LLC (ROC 312249), a Cottonwood-based contracting business.The summary suspension proceedings were initiated earlier this month after AZ ROC investigated seven complaints against the license, three for abandonment of remodeling projects, one for abandonment of a new home build, and three for non-payment to other licensed contractors hired to work on previous projects.

Cottonwood AZ (December 10, 2020) – Verde Valley Fire District was recently awarded a grant in the amount of $23,739 from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) for extrication equipment. Along with $9,445 in District funds, this grant will provide a set of battery-operated extrication tools, including a spreader, cutter and ram. This battery-operated equipment replaces hydraulic extrication tools (e.g. jaws of life). The new equipment is capable of handling the much stronger hybrid materials being used in modern vehicle manufacture.

By Ted Grussing… after about twenty minutes or more of napping and cleaning his fur, getting burrs out of his paws and doing the ultimate in stretching, this young bobcat got up and said goodbye to One who had spent at least a half hour observing and trying to get her attention. The young bobcat weighs about fifteen pounds, and check out the difference in paw size between she and One … when she reaches maturity the paws will be even bigger … and so will she.
