… winter art on the plateau … take a landscape filled with volcanoes, add a good snow fall and contrasty light and you get instant modern or abstract art. I took this shot almost two years ago after a good snow up on the plateau east of Flagstaff. The snow fills pockets or grooves in the lava fields and the cinder cones themselves. My kind of shooting when I get the chance.

Into the weekend for me and hope that your days are filled with beauty and the love of the season.

Back Monday morning … start the day with a smile … you are here!

    Cheers

I journeyed from university to university, and I saw everywhere the past rebuilt before the eyes of young men and young women … Egypt, Greece, Rome; language, architecture, laws … saw the earth and sky explained, and the habits of body.

Everywhere chairs of this and that, largely endowed.

But nowhere saw I a chair of the human heart.

    The Bloody Machine
    By Tommy Acosta
What is a life anyway? A single “life?” Is it nothing more than a collection of emotions and thoughts, reverberating pain and pleasure, hopes, dreams and fear? Are we merely meat; flesh and blood creations encapsulating what we believe is a soul? We die. Everything we experience is but a dream between those two points. Or are we manifestations of a Divine Creator, every one of us complete in the image that we were made? So, we are told.
