Sedona AZ (March 27, 2012) – Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office detectives continue their investigation into 7 residential burglaries occurring since late February of this year in the Village of Oak Creek. While canvassing target areas in recent days, detectives were told about a man who had been going door to door checking to see if people were home and claiming to have car trouble. Sedona AZ (March 26, 2012) – The City of Sedona has received federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from the Arizona Department of Housing to provide housing repair services to approximately ten low-to-moderate income homeowners within the City of Sedona, with repairs for each home ranging between $3,000 and $15,000.  The City and Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG) are administering the grant.  NACOG and the City of Sedona are currently accepting applications to participate in the program.

Sedona AZ (March 26, 2012) – The deadline for filing income tax returns is approaching, and Arizonans have an easy way to help the state’s wildlife by “making a mark” on their state income tax form. The Arizona Wildlife Fund is a voluntary program that allows taxpayers to make a tax-deductible donation to help imperiled and endangered wildlife, including majestic bald eagles, black-footed ferrets, California condors, Apache trout, Mexican wolves and desert tortoises, and other animals.

Sedona AZ (March 23, 2012) – Saturday March 31st, 2012 Studio Live will host the Sedona Red Rock High School Battle of the Bands. The show starts at 4:00 pm with tickets $10.00 or $5.00 with a student ID, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sedona Red Rock HighSchool music program. This event will be the first held in Studio Live’s outdoor performance space “The Backyard”. With space for 300 people, attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or low backed beach chairs.

Sedona AZ (March 23, 2012) – The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin trimming trees and brush along State Route 89A from Sedona to Flagstaff on Monday (March 26). The work, which will improve driver visibility, will require single lane closures from March 26 through April 13. Work hours will be 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. During work hours, one lane will be closed and drivers will be directed through the work zone in alternating directions. Flaggers and signage will be on hand to help direct traffic.

Sedona AZ (March 23, 2012) – “Let’s Do It Again!” is the theme of Arizona’s 2012 Democratic Presidential Caucus as the party meets in Sedona this Saturday to nominate Barack Obama for a second term as president. This is Sedona’s first time to hold a Democratic Presidential Caucus, and this year’s event is expected to draw over 400 participants. It will be held on Saturday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, at West Sedona School, 570 Posse Grounds Road, and is one of eight being held that day around the state.
