Sedona AZ (December 28, 2012) – For the 9th year in a row, firefighters and staff of Sedona Fire District (SFD) have pooled their financial resources with the Sedona – Verde Valley Firefighter’s Charity (SVVFC) to provide the children in the Sedona – Verde Valley area a merry Christmas through Catholic Social Services. Flagstaff AZ (December 28, 2012 ) – Meet at the Visitor Center of Riordan Mansion State Historic Park on January 12, and enjoy a presentation on the Homesteads of Oak Creek Canyon. Beaver Creek AZ (December 24, 2012) – On December 20, 2012, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested 57-year-old Kala Pearson for felony theft of monies from the Beaver Creek Village Property Owners Association (BCVPOA). In November of 2012, YCSO detectives met with BCVPOA board members regarding a theft of funds from the association’s corporate bank account. The members reported a loss of $33,000 dollars and noted that only three persons had access to the account, including the designated secretary, Kala Pearson. Board members offered some background to detectives regarding the account monies.
