Sedona AZ (September 18, 2017) – In May of 2017, personnel from Adult Protective Services (APS) contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report allegations of fraud and theft by 39-year-old Krista Cline from Sedona.Between January of 2016, and May of 2017, while acting as a Conservator/Guardian in a licensed Fiduciary capacity, Cline transferred more than $100,000 above and beyond her fees, services, and costs from the accounts of 2 victims for personal use. Only Cline had access to the victim’s accounts during that time frame.

Camp Verde AZ (September 16, 2017) – Using Arizona’s civil asset forfeiture laws, the Cottonwood Police Department and Yavapai County Attorney’s Office quickly seized $15,500 from a fraud scheme and returned it through court action to an elderly couple.The incident involves a Camp Verde elderly couple who was defrauded of $15,500 by a “computer company” that offered to provide lifetime maintenance of the couples’ home computers.  After making a “sale” of services to the victims, the company later contacted the victims and offered to wire a refund of $1,000 to the victims’ bank account.  Through an elaborate scam, the “company” was…

Cornville AZ (September 15, 2017) – The Verde Valley Fire District, Sedona Fire District, and Verde Valley Ambulance responded to a report of a commercial fire on the 1900 Block of North Page Springs Rd on September 14 at 7:00 pm.  Dispatch reported that there was an explosion in a motorhome with flames and smoke showing.   Upon arrival, the crews found a class A motorhome with significant structural damage and a small fire in the rear of the RV.
