By Robert AlbrechtSedona AZ (February 14, 2020) – When a shelter in New Mexico called and asked if the Humane Society of Sedona could take a transfer of 25 dogs because they were at capacity; we said yes.The 25 arrived on February 5, 2020 and the staff and volunteers jumped into action to assist with the intake procedure. What was exciting about this transfer is that it included a “momma” and her 8 puppies that were born on January 29. Extra care was necessary for the mother as she was very weak and not producing milk.

Sedona AZ (February 13, 2020) – On Feb. 24, 2020, Arizona Public Service (APS) will begin work to replace a pole on the west side of Schnebly Hill Road immediately north of Burrus Lane. The work will take a maximum of one week to complete. Schnebly Hill Road and Burrus Lane will remain open during construction. Schnebly Hill Road will be reduced to one lane as necessary for APS to access the pole. Lane closures with flaggers will occur between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the week of construction.
