Verde Valley, AZ (October 24, 2011) – The Coconino National Forest has received a proposal from the Page Springs Road Association Inc. (PSRA) for authorization for a private road easement to provide access to agricultural and residential sites. In conjunction with this proposal, the Red Rock Ranger District proposes to decommission several secondary roads adjacent to the private property that are not needed either for private land access nor for designated motorized use.

Flagstaff, AZ (October 21, 2011) – Coconino National Forest fire managers are planning one small prescribed fire Monday, October 24, and are tentatively planning other projects for the remainder of the week. Prescribed fire activity is difficult to plan far in advance, as burn days, project areas and acres depend on winds, ventilation, and other conditions. Fire managers typically establish more solid plans one to two days before burning, when forecasts are clearer.

Two prescribed fire projects are planned for Thursday, October 20. Hart Prairie Project – up to 490 acres located east of Hwy 180, west of AZ Snowbowl on Forest Road 151. Sedona AZ (October 19, 2011) – On October 11, 2011, the Sedona City Council approved the Interim Development Impact Fee Schedule with an effective date of January 1, 2012. The change in fees is required based on a series of significant changes made by the State Legislature. These changes impact the parameters surrounding requirements for collection and use of Development Impact Fees.
