Mayer AZ (May 14, 2014) – The Orme School is pleased to announce that their Community Garden has been accepted as an Approved Food Source by the Arizona Department of Health Services. One of only 3 approved sources in the state, Orme’s garden had to undergo a series of inspections and food safety procedures before being approved through a final site visit by state personnel. Demonstrating that the school has met all safety requirements, this approval allows The Orme School to utilize their homegrown produce in meals in Founders Hall, which is considered a commercial kitchen.

Sedona AZ (May 13, 2014) – The City of Sedona Parks and Recreation Department is moving water aerobics outdoors for the summer. Ongoing for several years, this year-round program is available to adults of most physical fitness levels who are interested in adding variety to their workout routines. Water aerobics is a leader in low impact aerobic exercise, allowing the participant to work at their own pace while toning muscles, working range of motion and getting their heart rate moving. AquaZumba is also available as part of the offered classes.
Work scheduled tonight through Thursday night Camp Verde AZ (May 12, 2014) – The Arizona Department of Transportation has two improvement projects on Interstate 17, both south of Camp Verde, which will require overnight restrictions for drivers this week. The peak food donation season for food banks and other emergency food providers runs from September through December.
